Ademola Lookman says the Super Eagles are determined to win the title at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, DAILY POST reports.

The West Africans lost 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the previous edition of Africa’s biggest football competition.

Lookman was one of the standout performers in the tournament, scoring three times, and also providing an assist.

The 28-year-old was also named in the Team of the Tournament.

Much will be expected from the Atalanta winger again in Morocco as the Super Eagles target a fourth continental title.

Lookman said it is important for the Super Eagles to show their quality on the pitch.

“Last time, we came so close in Abidjan, but we didn’t win, so keeping that togetherness, unity that we have in the squad is an important thing for us, to keep us going,” Lookman told Elegbete TV.

“We have to show quality in games, show togetherness in our fight and we have that. Once that all comes together, things will be great.”

Nigeria’s first game is against the Taifa Stars of Tanzania on Tuesday.

The Group C encounter will kick-off at 6.30pm Nigerian time.
