Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has identified areas for improvement as his team prepares for their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, match against Tunisia this weekend.

Chelle made the remarks following Nigeria’s victory over Tanzania in their AFCON opener on Tuesday.

DAILY POST reports that goals from Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman secured a 2-1 win for Nigeria against Miguel Ángel Gamond’s men in Morocco.

“The second half of the game against Tanzania shows clearly that there is still some work to be done,” Chelle noted in his post-match interview.

“Especially when it comes to killing the game. We are aware of this, and we’ll work on it.”

Following their win over Tanzania, Nigeria sits in second place in Group C, while Tunisia leads the group after their 3-1 victory over Uganda.
