Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi has revealed captain, Ahmed Musa’s advice to the players, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, quarter-final clash with Angola on Friday.

Iwobi said Musa told Super Eagles players how Nigeria won the 2013 AFCON edition in South Africa, adding that Peseiro’s men are hungry to win it in Ivory Coast.

The Fulham star spoke to reporters on Thursday.

“Musa told us how they won the 2013 AFCON. He’s creating the same environment and everyone is hungry. He always wants us to push on and achieve that same thing,” the former Arsenal and Everton star said.

“Musa told us that they don’t look at the outside noise. We want to do it again. We will start with the quarter-final and give our hundred per cent.”
