Super Eagles midfielder, Raphael Onyedika has said he needs to buy teammate, Samuel Chukwueze a gift because all his three goals for the national team came from the winger’s assists.
Onyedika spoke at his post-match interview after leading Nigeria to beat Uganda 3-1 in Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tie.
NEWSUNPLUG reports that Chukwueze provided the two assists for Onyedika’s brace against Uganda.
Paul Onuachu was also on the score sheet against the Cranes as Eric Chelle’s men claimed all three points.
“I need to buy Samuel Chukwueze a gift,” Onyedika told reporters after the match.
“All my three Super Eagles goals came from his assists. A few years ago, I never imagined this moment.”
Onyedika was awarded the Man of the Match after the game for his brilliant display during the encounter.
