The Super Eagles of Nigeria have emerged as the most potent attacking team in the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tournament in Morocco.
This was disclosed by CAF’s official website ahead of the AFCON Round of 16 starting on Saturday.
The Super Eagles finished Group C with maximum nine points, recording 8 goals, the highest tally in the tournament, from 21 shots and 10 on target.
Eric Chelle’s men also registered the highest average possession rate at 66 per cent.
Those figures illustrate a team that combined volume with efficiency, dominating territory and converting pressure into goals.
