Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has identified the team’s best game at the ongoing 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
Oliseh spoke ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON Round of 16 tie against the Mambas of Mozambique on Monday night.
The Super Eagles have so far played three matches at the AFCON. Eric Chelle’s side defeated Tanzania 2-1, won 3-2 against Tunisia and 3-1 against Uganda.
Speaking on Global Football Insight, Oliseh said Super Eagles’ encounter against the Cranes was their best game in the AFCON in a long time.
“The Super Eagles have to make sure that the priority is not to concede. The last game [Nigeria vs Uganda], the Super Eagles played with all the noise made about the Tunisia game and the fact that we didn’t play well against Tanzania, but we won that game,” Oliseh said.
“The last game we played was to beat Uganda. That was the best game I have seen the Super Eagles play in a long time.
“The organization was there, the change of play, the compactness and the way they were able to stop the opponent.”
