Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka has predicted an ‘interesting game’ when Nigeria face Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tie on Thursday evening.

Onyeka projected that the AFCON tie would not be an easy game as both Nigeria and Ivory Coast will be seeking all three points.

The match will take place at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé.

Nigeria currently sits in third position in Group A with one point from one match, while Ivory Coast are on top of the Group with three points.

Speaking to reporters in Abidjan, Onyeka said ahead of the game, “Most of [us] play against those guys in Europe. Ibrahim Sangaré plays for Nottingham Forest. I watched him, played against him. Franck Kessié played for AC Milan before he went to Saudi Arabia.

“The only person I really do not know is Seko Fofana. These are players that play in Europe, big leagues, so most of us know them really well.

“I know it is not going to be an easy game but it is going to be an interesting game.”
