Nollywood actress Angela Okorie is advocating for setting boundaries and protecting one’s peace.
Taking to her Instagram page to share photos of herself and her son in church, she admonished the public to be very choosy and particular about whom they invite into their life. She stated that they shouldn’t let others hijack their sanity and peace and protect their joy and peace.
Angela added that setting healthy boundaries isn’t a punishment for others, nor a show of pride, but an act of self-care.
“Be very choosy and particular about whom you invite into your life. Don’t let others hijack your sanity and peace. Protect your joy and peace.
Remember, setting healthy boundaries is not a punishment for others, nor is it a show of pride. It is an act of self-care”.
A few weeks back, Angela threw shots at her colleagues who were fond of imitating her. She stated that if it weren’t for God, her enemies would have killed her. She questioned where the hate was coming from, and revealed that this was one of the reasons she ran from people.
In a New Year message to her fans, the actress and singer told them to spice up their lives irrespective of where they are in life. She admonished them to never give someone the satisfaction of watching them suffer as she stated that one’s greatest investment is in themselves.
Last year, Angela sent a deep message to her millions of followers about being good and kind. She admonished them never to regret being a good person to the wrong people, as one’s kindness shows everything about them, and their behaviour says everything about them.
In another post, she told her fans to allow people to judge, misunderstand, and gossip about them, and remain kind, and free in their authenticity. She said that the quality of one’s life isn’t determined by the quality of their positive experiences but by their ability to overcome negative experiences.
