Arise TV anchor, Rufai Oseni, has taken to his Twitter handle to tackle National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for not “fining” NTA after broadcasting what he termed an ‘illegal acceptance speech’ of Adamawa APC guber candidate, Aisha Dahiru aka Binani

Recall that on Sunday, April 16, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the state, Hudu Yunusa, unilaterally announced Binani as winner of the supplementary guber election held in the state on Saturday April 15, despite the fact that the commission was yet to receive results from 10 out of the 20 local government areas where the election held.

Binani immediately held a press conference televised live by NTA where she read out her acceptance speech.

Shortly after, INEC headquarters released a statement invalidating the announcement declaring her the winner of the election and summoned the REC to Abuja.

In this tweet posted this morning, Rufai is asking why NBC has not fined NTA for televising Binani’s speech.

Recall that NBC has in recent times fined Arise TV and Channels TV for committing different infractions.
