Atalanta captain Marten de Roon has said there is still a chance for Ademola Lookman to play for the club again if he changes his attitude.

Lookman has been excluded from Atalanta’s squad after attempting to force a move to Inter Milan in the summer.

The Nigeria international has been training alone, separated from the rest of the squad since returning to Italy after going AWOL.

The winger was left out of La Dea’s squad for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Lecce.

He was also not part of the travelling party to Paris Saint-Germain for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League fixture.

De Roon, however, said they are willing to welcome Lookman back to the team.

“I didn’t disturb him (Lookman). I don’t want to use up too much energy over this situation. We are concentrated on the squad and the players who are here,” De Roon told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are here and the door is always open.”
