An autopsy result for late Nigerian singer Afeez Adesina, better known as Destiny Boy, has revealed the cause of his death.
According to Daily Trust, the Police Homicide Section had conducted an autopsy for the late singer and the result was released about a week ago.
The Police spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the autopsy report had been released. He revealed that the results revealed harmful levels of tramadol and its metabolites, as well as methamphetamine, in the deceased’s body.
The report concluded that the cause of the singer’s death was “aspiration pneumonitis resulting from the ingestion of these toxic substances.
The terse statement reads: “The Consultant Anatomic Pathologist reported that toxicology results revealed harmful levels of tramadol and its metabolites, as well as methamphetamine, and opined that the cause of death was aspiration pneumonitis resulting from the ingestion of these toxic substances, with the date of death being 17/01/2026.”
