Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, finished in 20th position in the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or, DAILY POST reports.

Oshoala’s Barcelona teammate, Aitana Bonmati won the award.

The forward endured an injury-ravaged campaign last term.

Despite her injury struggles, the Nigerian striker scored 21 goals in the Spanish Iberdola and added five more in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Oshoala also won the Spanish and Champions League titles with Barcelona.

She featured for Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, scoring once in four outings.

Several of her Barcelona teammates, including Mapi Leon, Patri Guijaro, Fridolina Rolfo and Salma Paralluelo also made the top 20.
