Spain and Manchester City midfielder, Rodri, has named four players that could win the Ballon d’Or prize this year.
Rodri is the current holder of the award, after he won it ahead of Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior last year.
Ahead of this month’s coronation, he has picked two of his international team-mates as worthy successors.
According to Rodri, Lamine Yamal and Pedri who both play for Barcelona, are favourites to win the award.
He also picked the Paris Saint-Germain duo of Vitinha and Ousmane Dembele.
“It’s difficult because I have a preference for my teammates, but I have to say that PSG was the team of the season. It’s hard to think that it won’t be a player from that team,” Rodri said.
“Out of sympathy, obviously, I would like Lamine or Pedri to win, but, for sporting merit and for the season itself, it would be Ousmane (Dembélé) or Vitinha.”
