Marseille striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has picked Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ousmane Dembele as the player to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
The Gabonese said Dembele is his friend, having shared the dressing room with the France international during their time together at Borussia Dortmund.
In an interactive Q&A with DAZN, Aubameyang said, “I don’t know (who will lift the next Ballon d’Or), but I would say Dembele because he is my friend.”
Aubamayang also named Dembele the best player he has ever played with.
He added, “I played with a lot of good players, but I would say Dembele.”
Dembele is the current holder of the Ballon d’Or after winning the last edition in 2025.
He won it ahead of the likes of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe.
