Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has tipped midfielder Declan Rice to win the Ballon d’Or this season.

Wright believes that if Arsenal win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, Rice should win the top individual prize.

He stated this while speaking on the Stick to Football podcast ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League tie with Newcastle United.

“If Arsenal win the Premier League, Declan Rice has to win Premier League POTY,” Wright said.

“And if Arsenal win the Champions League. Rice should also win the Ballon d’Or.”

Rice was signed by Arsenal from West Ham United in 2023 for a then-Premier League record fee of £105 million.

The 27-year-old has made over 150 appearances for the Premier North London club, scoring 21 goals and registering 31 assists.
