Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti says the leadership of the club still believes in his capabilities despite an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Man City in the Champions League semif-inal on Wednesday night.

He said his future at the club is not at risk.

Los Blancos needed a win to qualify for the Champions League final after drawing with City at the Santiago Bernabéu, but were knocked out of the competition at the Etihad Stadium, no thanks to Bernardo Silva’s first-half brace and second half goals from Manuel Akanji and Julián Álvarez for the hosts.

Ancelotti said he is now focused on winning another Champions League title for Madrid next season.

“No one doubts me. I think the president was very clear 15 days ago — this is a step to improve for next year.

“Next season I will be here to fight to win another Champions League,” he said in a post-match interview.
