Former Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, has named his players for the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.

For Mourinho, the award should go to Paris Saint-Germain duo Vitinha and Nuno Mendes, his countrymen.

The former Inter Milan and Roma man would want Mendes or Vitinha to be crowned over Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and Ousmane Dembele, the PSG teammate.

The Portuguese told Canal11 that his agent, Jorge Mendes, would be unhappy with his comment.

He said via SPORTbible, “And for me, any individual trophy must always have a direct connection to titles.

“I love them both [Vitinha and Mendes]; I can’t tell the difference. The only thing I’d say is that there’s still a small group of good midfielders there, and now full-backs like that.

“I’d like one of them to win, obviously, but then Jorge Mendes will get mad at me because he only thinks Yamal, his player, should win.”

Ousmane Dembele and Lamine Yamal are in the front row of players receiving backing to win this year’s award.

Dembele, Vitinha, and Mendes were pivotal for PSG in winning the domestic treble and the Champions League last season. They also reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, where they were thrashed by Premier League side Chelsea.
