Suspected bandits have abducted a police officer in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The incident occurred between 6:00 and 7:00 am on Wednesday, October 2, 2025.

The officer, identified as Ezra, an indigene of the Ndanakun community, was allegedly ambushed while returning from duty in Patigi town and heading toward Lade.

A source reported that Ezra and a colleague, each riding a separate motorcycle, encountered the bandits, who began “shooting guns sporadically.”

Unfortunately, the officer riding in front, Ezra, was targeted and seized by the criminals.

He was subsequently taken to an unknown location.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
