Bandits have killed six mobile policemen and 30 villagers at Dan Umaru in Zuru area of Kebbi State.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 30, 2023.
Dozens of people were also kidnapped and hundreds of cattle rustled during the attack on neighboring villages.
According to a Daily Trust, residents said the funeral of 27 people had taken place while several others sustained various degrees of injuries.
The police authorities in the state had yet to make any official statement on the attack as of the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, friends, family and colleagues have taken to social media to share photos of the police officers killed in the attack.
