Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, better known as Basketmouth, is celebrating 27 years in the industry.
The comedian, who turned 47 years old two days ago, via his Instagram and Twitter page, shared a goofy video of himself, noting that he has spent 27 years out of his 47 years on earth in the entertainment industry.
He said he has spent more than half of his life in the public eye, as he appreciates them for supporting him.
“47 years on earth, 27 years with you.
That means I’ve spent more than half of my life with you guys.
Thank you all for rocking with me.

On his birthday, his partner, Victoria, had given him his flowers, as she wishes people knew his heart. Victoria said the comedian has been a bright light in a dark world, illuminating the way for everyone around him, even when he can’t find his own way. She vowed to be behind and beside him always.
On his birthday, last year, Victoria had made a promise to Basketmouth as he celebrated his birthday. She prayed for the rest of his years to be the best, as she promised to be by his side.
To mark the New Year, Basketmouth stirred the internet with a post about leaving a toxic relationship as his ex underestimated him and took him for granted until she burnt him out. He said he stood taller and stronger than he ever was and noted how his comeback was so unexpected.
Last year, the comedian had announced that he was beginning a new chapter of his life with the TV host.
Following the news, media personality, Emma Ugolee took to his Instagram page to congratulate Basketmouth for finding happiness. He also gave a shout-out to Miz Vick for making him feel like a little boy. Emma stated that watching their chemistry was heartwarming as their artistic blend was lethal.
In 2022, Basketmouth announced the end of his marriage with Elsie on his Instagram page. He assured to peacefully co-parent with her in caring for their children and pleaded with the public to respect their privacy.
