BBNaija Season 7 winner, Phyna, has claimed that her relationship with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has changed, alleging that the actress has withdrawn her support because of Phyna’s association with controversial social media activist, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Phyna made the disclosure during a recent livestream with her fans, where she spoke candidly about how her closeness to VDM has affected some of her personal relationships.
According to the reality TV star, Iyabo Ojo—whom she fondly calls “mama”—used to regularly engage with her social media posts by liking and commenting, but that support has since disappeared.
Phyna said she believes the shift in attitude is directly linked to her decision to work with VDM, whom she enlisted to help seek justice for her sister following the Dangote accident.
Explaining her feelings during the livestream, Phyna said she is convinced that her association with the activist caused the distance between herself and the actress, adding that the situation also influenced her fallout with other individuals.
Her words in part:
“I feel mama doesn’t like me that much again because before she used to comment on my posts, she used to like it, now she no longer likes it and I’m very sure it’s because of that d!rty boy. I even went as far as attacking Vee Iyele because of that dirty boy.”
