Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has opened up about the transformative power of healing, describing it as a vital process for both the body and soul.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress admitted that healing is often a difficult and uncomfortable journey, one that requires confronting deep emotional scars. However, she noted that choosing to remain broken is far worse, as unresolved pain can infiltrate every part of life and steal one’s joy.
Dikeh urged her followers to face their pain with courage, lean on God’s plan, and trust His timing. She reminded them that it’s not necessary to understand every phase of the process what matters most is continuing to move forward with faith and perseverance.
She wrote:
“Be brave enough to heal, even when it feels like a battle within. Healing isn’t simple it’s messy, painful, and often uncomfortable. True restoration reveals wounds we tried to hide and forces us to confront what once broke us. But remaining broken is far worse.
“Pain doesn’t disappear when ignored; it seeps into everything, drains your joy, and keeps you trapped in survival mode. Healing is about facing that pain, feeling it, and choosing to grow beyond it (Psalm 147:3). It’s God’s way of inviting us to trust Him with the parts of us we tried to fix on our own.
“You don’t have to understand every step. Heaven only asks that you keep moving, keep believing, and keep showing up for the future God has prepared. You are worthy of the miracle that’s on the way.
“One day, you’ll look back in awe and realize the fire was temporary, but the strength you gained will last forever. What was meant to break you will become the testimony that sets others free.
“Staying broken was never an option you were created, chosen, and anointed to heal and rise.”
