Four farmers have been k!lled by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists at Kerawa, a border community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The incident happened on Thursday, August 22, 2024, between 12 and 1 pm while they were working on their farms.

This is coming almost two months after multiple explosions killed over thirty persons in Gwoza town.

Counsellor of Jimini ward, Bukar Aji and chairman of Kerawa community association, Yakubu Ali confirmed the incident to Channels TV.

Kerawa town is a border town with Cameroon at the Mandara mountains where the terrorists are known to be hiding.

The Divisional Police Officer of Gwoza division while speaking with Channels Television on the phone said he is unaware of the development.

He, however, promised to verify the report.
