Werder Bremen midfielder, Jens Stage is delighted to have Victor Boniface back in the squad, NEWSUNPLUG reports.
Boniface has endured a difficult spell since joining the Green and Whites on loan from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
The Nigeria international has made 12 league appearances for Bremen, registering two assists.
The 25-year-old sustained a knee injury last December, and underwent surgery early this year.
Boniface is now looking forward to returning to action after spending three months on the sidelines.
With Bremen fighting to escape relegation, Stage believed the striker could help steer the club to safety.
“I haven’t seen him yet. I hope he comes in a good mood, gets fit quickly, and can help us on the pitch. He perhaps has the greatest potential in the squad. He’s a really good footballer and popular in the dressing room. He’s a cool guy. We need good footballers,” Stage told the club’s official website.
