Afrobeats superstar Ebunoluwa Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, appears to be living up to his “Odogwu” reputation, as a recent post circulating online has captured attention.
According to reports, the Grammy-winning artist, who was recently featured on Rolling Stone’s list, went clubbing abroad and the staggering amount he allegedly spent on food and drinks has now been made public.
The viral post revealed that Burna Boy splurged on an extensive menu of meals and beverages, though it’s unclear how many friends accompanied him. Judging by the lengthy receipt, it’s evident the feast wasn’t for him alone.
Documents shared online show that the “Last Last” hitmaker spent over ₦83 million, converted from dollars a sum approaching ₦1 billion.
The list of more than 20 items included jollof rice, peppered chicken wings, chicken spiral, white rice, seafood, grilled salmon, and mashed potatoes, among others. Their drink selection reportedly featured Sprite, Coke, Red Bull, Voss water, and several other beverages, along with a note indicating that a pipe was also smoked during the outing.
Reacting to the post, content creator GehGeh commented on Burna Boy’s lavish spending, arguing that it was unwise to spend such an extravagant amount in a world where many struggle to afford daily meals.
