Flamingos captain Shakirat Moshood has made the final three nominees for the 2025 CAF Women’s Young Player of the Year.
Moshood captained the Flamingos at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco last month.
Bankole Olowookere’s side exited the competition in the Round of 16.
At club level, the forward helped Bayelsa Queens win the Nigeria win the Nigeria Women Football (NWFL) earlier in the year.
Moshood will battle last year’s winner, Moha El Madani of Morocco and Senegal’s Adji Ndiye for the award.
African champions Super Falcons of Nigeria also make the final shortlist for the Women’s National Team of the Year.
The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco and Black Queens of Ghana are also in contention for the award.
