Rivers United head coach Finidi George has expressed disappointment with his team’s defeat to RS Berkane, DAILY POST reports.

The Port Harcourt club fell 2-1 to the Moroccan side in their CAF Champions League matchday two encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Friday.

Rivers United took a 37th minute when Mamadou Camara diverted the ball into his own net.

The visitors however scored two late goals through Youness El Kaabi and Mounir Chouiar to secure maximum points.

Finidi said a draw would have been a good result for his team.

“I have to say a draw wouldn’t have been a good result for us, but the loss is devastating. I think the overall performance of my players deserves more than what the outcome of the game looked like. It is quite unfortunate that we lost today,” the former Nigeria international said after the game.
