UEFA has handed Bayern Munich’s Luis Diaz a three-match ban over his red card against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
According to the European football body, Díaz had committed “serious rough play” follwing his tackle on PSG defender Achraf Hakimi.
The incident happened in stoppage time of the first half, as Bayern won 2-1 against the current holders.
Diaz had opened the scoring at the Parc des Princes with a brace, before he was given the marching orders.
The Colombia international will now miss Bayern’s trip to Arsenal on Wednesday as well as home meetings with Sporting CP (December 9) and Union Saint-Gilloise (January 21).
Bayern currently sit top of the Champions League table with maximum points from four games.
