Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has hailed Antonio Rudiger following the defender’s impressive performance in the Champions League semi-final first-leg tie against Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Ancelotti said that he was so happy for Rudiger, adding that the former Chelsea centre-back is a player with great experience and quality.

Rudiger was impressive for Real Madrid against Man City at the Santiago Bernabeu, and he also did well in marking Erling Haaland as goals from Vinicius Junior and Kevin de Bruyne ensured both teams played 1-1.

“Toni Rudiger… excellent,” said Ancelotti (via Metro).

“Top performance. He was very good, he is a player with great experience, quality. It was not easy, but he played very well. I am so happy with Toni.”
