This season’s UEFA Champions League Round of 16 draw will take place on Friday.
NEWSUNPLUG reports that the draw will take place at 11 am in the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
This follows the conclusion of the Champions League Round of 16 playoff second leg matches played on Wednesday.
Recall that the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Newcastle, PSG, Real Madrid, Atalanta, Atletico Madrid, Bodø/Glimt, and Galatasaray all advanced to the Champions League last-16 stage after winning their fixtures.
The aforementioned teams now joined the top eight teams from the league phase – Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Sporting CP, and Tottenham Hotspur, for Friday’s draw.
Meanwhile, UEFA has already confirmed the teams that can play each other when the Champions League Round of 16 draw is conducted on Friday.
According to UEFA, Barcelona can play Newcastle or PSG, Bayern Munich can play Atalanta or Bayer Leverkusen, Chelsea can play Newcastle United or PSG, Liverpool can play Atletico Madrid or Galatasaray, Man City can play Bodø/Glimt or Real Madrid, Sporting CP can play Bodø/Glimt or Real Madrid, and Tottenham can play Atletico Madrid or Galatasaray.
