Champions League: Supercomputer predicts favourite teams to win trophy

A Supercomputer has predicted the favourite teams to win the UEFA Champions League this season.

Recall that Manchester City won the Champions League last season.

However, according to Opta’s supercomputer Pep Guardiola’s side are favourite to win the Champions League again this season.

The Premier League champions have a 36.4 per chance of winning the Europe top-flight completion.

Their nearest challengers are Real Madrid (13.1 per cent) and Bayern Munich (12.9 per cent).

Arsenal have fourth best chance of lifting the trophy at 7.5 per cent.

The Gunners’ also have a 15.9 per chance of reaching the Champions League final, not far ahead of Inter Milan at 15.3 and Barcelona at 14.3.

However, Manchester United have been given a lower chance of winning the Champions League than other participating teams including Newcastle.
