Kelechi Iheanacho has challenged his Leicester City teammates to keep the momentum going following their impressive start to the new season.

The Foxes were relegated from the Premier League last season.

Enzo Maresca’s side have however dominated the Sky Bet Championship in the opening weeks.

Leicester City defeated Blackburn Rovers 4-1 at the Ewood Park on Sunday to open a two-point lead at the top of the standings.

Iheanacho, who came off the bench to score the visitors’ third goal of the game, stated that it is important for them to continue pushing for better results.

“We’re on top now, but it’s a tough league. We need to keep going because there’s a lot of games. We have a big squad, so we need to manage ourselves and keep getting the wins,” Iheanacho told the club’s official website.

“We just keep learning and going game by game and, at the end of the season, we’ll see where we are.”
