Coventry City head coach, Frank Lampard has applauded Frank Onyeka for his impact at the club, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

Onyeka was on target in the Sky Blues thrilling 3-2 victory over Derby County at the CBS Arena on Friday.

It was the defensive midfielder’s maiden strike for the Sky Bet Championship leaders.

The Nigeria international joined Coventry City on loan in January, and they have won eight of their nine matches since his arrival.

Lampard described Onyeka as a humble personality.

“All round, he’s a quality player and an amazing lad coming from the Premier League with this incredible humility where he just comes in and works,” the Chelsea legend told Sky Sports.

Coventry City have an 11-point lead at the top of Championship table with seven games remaining before the end of the season.
