Chef Dammy has publicly congratulated fellow chef Hilda Baci for cooking what has been described as the biggest pot of jollof rice, large enough to feed thousands of people.
She also thanked Gino, the brand that partnered in the event, and reaffirmed that she had sent her congratulations privately as well.

“Congratulations to Hilda Baci for cooking the biggest pot of jollof rice, cooking in a very big pot to feed thousands,” she said. “Congratulations to Nigeria, this is a win for everybody. Congratulations to Gino and big thank you to Gino. Aside the fact that I sent a congratulations message to her DM, I’m still saying congratulations to her.”
Dammy explained that the video was necessary because many people had been asking if she planned to cook again, with even her classmates teasing her about trying beans next. She dismissed the rumours, saying her focus remains on her current projects.

She also took time to appreciate her supporters, especially those who had defended her online and contributed to her growth.
“I want to say thank you to everyone that has been supporting me, fighting on my behalf online, everyone that had hand in my growth and promotion,” she said, noting that she had to step out of her busy schedule in the kitchen to record the message.
Chef Dammy also thanked Ofada Boy and the a lot of newspapers and media blogs that had supported her journey so far.
