Chelsea confirm deal for Colwill

Chelsea on Wednesday confirmed that defender, Levi Colwill has signed a new six-year contract with the club.

The Blues made this known in a statement via its website.

Colwill’s deal also has the option of another additional 12 months.

Speaking about Colwill ahead of Chelsea’s friendly with Dortmund, Chelsea head coach, Mauricio Pochettino said: “[I am] so happy to have him in the squad and have the possibility to work together.”

Colwill has featured throughout Chelsea’s pre-season under Pochettino.

The 20-year-old has now extended his stay at Stamford Bridge ahead of the upcoming new season.
