Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella has said that he doesn’t want to injure Barcelona winger, Lamine Yamal when both teams clash in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League in November.

Cucurella and Yamal are both international teammates with the Spain national team.

Speaking after leading Spain to a 3-0 win against Bulgaria in the World Cup qualifier on Thursday at the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski, Cucurella said he needs Yamal for the national team.

He added that the Champions League encounter will be difficult for Barcelona.

“I’m ready to face Lamine Yamal at club level,” Cucurella said (via TouchlineX).

“He already told me some stuff, but I can’t injure him because I need him for the national team. It will be difficult for them [Barcelona], we will be at home, but we will see.”

The Champions League tie between Chelsea and Barcelona will take place at Stamford Bridge on November 25.
