Chelsea’s Quest For UCL Second-round Spot Suffers A Huge Blow

Chelsea’s hopes of progressing to the UEFA Champions League knockout stages took a significant setback after a disappointing result in their latest group-stage clash against Qarabag.

The Blues came into the game with confidence following their recent victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. However, Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw in as they record their seventh point in the competition.

The game seemed like it was going Chelsea’s way when Willian Esteavo scored the opening goal for Chelsea inside the first 17 minutes of the game. Two quick goals from Qarabag inside four minutes saw the host lead the game.

A solo strike from Garnacho was enough to see Chelsea leave Azerbaijan with one point which saw then move to seven points.

The game for Chelsea was a mixed mix of missed chances, defensive lapses, and lack of creativity in the final third proved costly, frustrating both The result now means Chelsea must rely on other outcomes and deliver perfect performances in their remaining fixtures to keep their European campaign alive.

With the pressure mounting, managemuoess than victory in their upcoming games could see their Champions League journey end sooner than expected. The Blues need to finish in the top eight at the end ot the season.

However the next two games for Chelsea in the league is against Wolves and Burnley in the Premier League which looks good on paper and they hope to get back to winning ways.
