Nigerian social media personality and self-acclaimed financial adviser, GehGeh, sparked widespread controversy online after sharing photos of himself posing in a manner resembling the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
In the images posted across his social platforms, GehGeh is seen wearing a thorn-like crown with red markings resembling blood, while referring to himself as the “problem of Nigeria.” The photos quickly went viral, accumulating over 234,000 views and drawing heavy criticism, particularly from Christian communities, who described the act as disrespectful and blasphemous.
Amid the backlash, GehGeh later addressed the situation, stating that human beings should not be regarded as God and encouraging his audience to embrace compassion rather than religious conflict.
Responding to the outrage, he shared a follow-up message on Twitter, noting: “No let anybody deceive you, man no be God and our God is a merciful God. Na una put religion for head God no really send wetin una dey do, just have a Good heart and worship him stop fighting for him.”
