Al Nassr captain, Cristiano Ronaldo netted his 961st career goal, as they thumped Al Kholood 3-0 on Friday.

The Saudi Pro League MatchDay 18 fixture was played at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraydah.

It was also Ronaldo’s 17th goal of the season for the club.

The 40-year-old is level with Al Qadsiah’s Julian Quinones, who scored against Al Hilal on Thursday.

Ronaldo is now 39 goals away from the 1,000 milestone he is eyeing.

The Portugal captain has won the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot in two consecutive seasons.

Al Nassr currently sit third in the table, with 40 points, six behind Al Hilal.
