Nollywood veteran Kate Henshaw has shared her honest opinion about Afrobeats superstar Davido during a recent conversation with media host Chude Jideonwo.
Although the actress admitted she enjoys Davido’s music, she revealed that she isn’t exactly a fan of the singer because of a past encounter where he allegedly failed to greet her.
“I’m old enough. He didn’t greet me, and for me, I believe you should be respectful,” Henshaw said, stressing that respect and good character are just as important as talent.
Nonetheless, the screen star acknowledged Davido’s achievements and praised his generosity, particularly recalling when he donated money received as birthday gifts to charity. She also lauded him for representing Nigeria proudly on the global stage, with his music even featured in Coming to America 2.
Speaking further, Henshaw recognized the personal losses and difficulties Davido has endured, adding, “There is joy. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel if we hold on.”
Jideonwo ended the chat on a playful note, reminding the singer, “But Davido, greet your elders,” a remark that echoed Henshaw’s stance on respect.
