Nigeria’s Afrobeats stars have taken center stage once again as the 2026 Grammy Awards nominations were unveiled on Friday evening, with Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, and Omah Lay all earning recognition.

In the Best African Music Performance category, Davido and Omah Lay received a joint nomination for “With You,” marking Omah Lay’s first-ever Grammy nod. They are joined by Burna Boy’s “Love,” Ayra Starr and Wizkid’s “Gimme Dat,” Eddy Kenzo & Mehran Matin’s “Hope & Love,” and Tyla’s “PUSH 2 START.”
Burna Boy, already a Grammy winner, also secured a nomination for Best Global Music Album with “No Sign of Weakness,” competing alongside Youssou N’Dour, Anoushka Shankar, Shakti, Siddhant Bhatia, and Caetano Veloso & Maria Bethânia.
