Popular comedian and reality TV personality Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as DeeOne, is preparing to set a new world record for the longest stand-up comedy performance.
DeeOne announced in September that his record attempt had received official approval from the Guinness World Records (GWR). He kicked off the ambitious 40-hour comedy marathon on Thursday, September 2, starting at midnight.
Footage from the event, held in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos State, shows the performance being carefully monitored, with a visible timer tracking the hours.
If DeeOne succeeds, he will become one of the few comedians worldwide to accomplish such an extraordinary milestone.
The marathon is slated to conclude on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
