Legendary Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has said despite the controversies surrounding his separation from his wife, actress Annie Macaulay, he doesn’t owe the public an explanation.
NEWSUNPLUG recalls that 2Face announced his separation from Annie in an Instagram post on Sunday, January 26, 2025, sparking controversy.
The controversy skyrocketed after he began flaunting his new lover, Natasha Osawuru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
Addressing the controversy in an interview with 234 Mzansi Podcast, the singer explained that his kids are the only persons he owes an explanation.
“My kids are the only people I owe an explanation,” he said.
2Face explained that he decided to end his marriage with Annie because it “wasn’t working anymore”.
He described her as an “amazing person”, stressing that they had “a good run”.
He added that they did their best to save their marriage but it wasn’t enough.
2Face and Annie got married in May 2012, and they have two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.
