Barcelona midfielder Gavi has told clubs chasing after him to calm down and not to worry about him as he would be staying at Camp Nou.

The midfielder may be directing his comments towards the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool who are interested in signing him this summer.

Following Barcelona’s inability to register the player’s long-term contract which he signed in September 2022, several clubs across Europe were put on alert in March.

The failure to register the 18-year-old Spain international meant the youngster is now available on a free transfer until Barcelona is able to do so.

Manchester City and Liverpool want to sign the Spaniard while Chelsea has gone a step further and made an approach to discuss a potential move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

“I want all of you to be calm on my future… I’m very calm,” Gavi told Movistar.

“Since I was little I’ve wanted to stay at Barca, it’s my dream club, I always say it.

“Don’t worry, let everyone be calm.”
