New information has surfaced regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding Saidat Ashabi Balogun, the UK-based jeweler and Lagos socialite popularly known as Omoge Saidat.
The 55-year-old style icon has become the center of online conversations after a private video believed to feature her began circulating on social media, thrusting her into unexpected public attention.
Although Omoge Saidat has chosen not to speak publicly about the matter, reports indicate that the video was allegedly recorded about two years ago and privately shared with her romantic partner.
What started as an intimate exchange has now spiraled into a major scandal, reportedly involving one of Nigeria’s most powerful families.
According to The Nation, speculations began to spread that a well-known billionaire family might be linked to how the clip was released.
In an attempt to calm the situation, Omoge Saidat was said to have been invited to a private meeting at the family’s opulent residence in Ikoyi on Monday, October 28, at around 10 a.m.
Sources close to the development revealed that those present at the meeting included the family patriarch, his wife, their son, a prominent Ogun State politician, and other close relatives.
In other news… A viral video showing a young woman praying for Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has sparked heated reactions online.
In the clip, Seyi Tinubu was seen visiting a community where women held up his photos. One woman prayed passionately for him, saying:
“He is coming to change Nigeria, to bring the glory of Nigeria, we appreciate all his effort, this is the best President, we are very proud of him…”
Others around her echoed “Amen” as she prayed.
The video triggered mixed reactions across social media.
Mezie wrote: “Have you noticed that majority of the youths who sing Tinubu’s praises are usually the first to paste their Opay accounts wherever there’s giveaway? The only thing that can make living humans find comfort in defending those rendering them poor is Stockholm syndrome.”
