Nigeria’s D’Tigress have maintained top position in the latest FIBA Women’s World Rankings, NEWSUNPLUG reports.

Rena Wakama’s side amassed 700.3 points, according to FIBA.

D’Tigress are the highest-ranked team in Africa, and the only team on the continent in the global top 10.

The African champions were recently in action at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament in Lyon, France.

They recorded two wins, and three defeats at the competition.

The United States of America maintained first position on the rankings, while France moved to second position, overtaking Australia, who dropped to third.

China and Belgium complete the top five in the latest rankings.
