Renowned gospel singer and minister Dunsin Oyekan has voiced his profound sadness over the rising wave of violence in Nigeria.
Through his official X account, Oyekan mourned the persistent attacks that continue to claim innocent lives across the country.
According to reports, gunmen targeted a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Kwara State on Tuesday evening, resulting in the deaths of three worshippers and the abduction of several others, including the church pastor.
This tragic event followed a separate attack in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State on Monday night, where suspected Boko Haram militants reportedly killed eight people.
Oyekan condemned the Kwara attack as a ruthless act and questioned the government’s response to the nation’s growing security challenges. He offered prayers for justice and appealed for divine intervention to stop the violence.
He stated:
“May the Lord judge the enemies of this nation once and for all in this season. These killings are too much, senseless, and cruel! Psalm 82:1-8 is my prayer in this season. And we have a government abi????”
The escalating insecurity in Nigeria has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with citizens urging authorities to take immediate action to safeguard lives and prevent further attacks.
