Arsenal legend Paul Merson has said that UEFA’s choice of stadium for the Europa Conference League (ECL) final is an ‘absolute disgrace.’
West Ham United will face Fiorentina in the ECL final on Wednesday night at the Eden Arena in Prague.
But the choice of venue for such an event, the Fortuna Arena in Prague, has raised eyebrows given that it only has a capacity of 19,370.
“The venue is an absolute disgrace; it can take only twenty thousand people. You are trying to make it a good competition, but where are you hosting the final?
“These are two clubs with huge fan bases. You’d think they’d make an effort, but then they go ahead and do this,” Merson told Sportskeeda.
