Popular Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, professionally known as Oladips, has stated that he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for not paying tax.
The musician made this disclosure while sharing his experience in EFCC detention.
DAILY POST recalls that EFCC invaded Oladips’ estate in November 2024 and arrested him alongside other residents at about 3am over fraud allegations.
However, speaking about the ordeal during his interview on Hip TV, Oladips disclosed that he was locked up for not paying tax after investigations revealed that he is not into fraud.
“Nigeria just happened to me because it was just a normal night and EFCC entered my estate. I mean it’s a big estate and they were just going from house to house arresting people. I was inside my house. It was about 3am.

“The next thing, they broke my kitchen door and entered my house and asked for my phone and laptop. I’m only using two phones, I don’t have a laptop.
