A 16-year-old student from Erinmope Ekiti has emerged as the highest scorer in the 2026 UTME, drawing widespread praise and celebration from her community and education stakeholders across Nigeria.
The National President of the Erinmope Development Union, Prince Dayo Olajide, has extended warm congratulations to Daniella Owoeye, an indigene of Erinmope Ekiti, for achieving the highest score in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), bringing pride to her community, Ekiti State, and Nigeria as a whole.
The 16-year-old, who is based in Ogun State and aspires to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Lagos, scored an impressive 372 out of 400 in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, placing her above all other candidates who sat the exam.
Her remarkable achievement was publicly celebrated during a Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja on Monday, where she was formally unveiled as the top scorer.
Daniella attributed her outstanding result to consistency, a well-structured approach to studying, and thorough use of past examination questions.
In a congratulatory letter addressed to the young scholar, the Erinmope Development Union described her performance as a testament to hard work, discipline, determination, and academic excellence.
The union noted that her success had brought honour not just to her family but to her school, her community of Erinmope Ekiti, Moba Local Government Area, and Ekiti State at large.
The union further expressed that Daniella’s achievement serves as a powerful source of inspiration to other young students with aspirations of excelling academically, and wished her continued success, greater opportunities, and a bright future as she embarks on the next chapter of her educational journey.
